Add Book Chapters

The method for adding book chapters to your list will vary depending on the format:

Add an e-book chapter

The process for adding an e-book chapter will vary depending on the provider of the e-book (e.g. JSTOR, ProQuest). Some e-book providers do not have records for individual chapters.

  1. To add an e-book chapter from the library's collections, click +Add.
  2. Select Search the library.
  3. Enter the title of the book chapter and press enter.
    • Your search results will include either the book chapter or the book. If only the book is included, see the steps below.
  4. If you see the chapter, click + and then click Add.
  5. Once added, click the entry to see more detail, and add any student notes.

Can't find the chapter?

If you cannot find the e-book chapter in Search the library, you can add the e-book and then edit it.

  1. To add an e-book, click +Add.
  2. Select Search the library and change the search to Book Search.
  3. Enter the book title.
  4. Locate the e-book and click + and then click Add & Edit.
  5. Change type to Book Chapter.
  6. Enter the Chapter title and Save.
