Add Course Reserves to D2L

Your students will also access your course reserves directly from your D2L course site, so add the course reserves module.

  1. In Content, select the Add a module… box.
  2. Enter a name for the module (e.g. Course Reserves or Course Readings.)
  3. Select Existing Activities and click External Learning Tools.
  4. Select Course Reserves

Add durable links to items, sections, or your list

You can add links to your D2L course site that will take students directly to:

  • An item in your course reserves list
  • a section of your course reserves list
  • or your course reserves list

1. Click on the Share Item icon and click Copy link for DESIRE2LEARN. This link can only be used in D2L and will remain active if you copy your D2L course.

2. In a module in your D2L site, click the Existing Activities drop down menu.

3. Click External Learning Tools.

4. Scroll to the bottom and click the Create New LTI Link button.

5. Add the title and the durable link for DESIRE2LEARN and click Create and Insert

View list as student

As you build and arrange your list of resources, it is recommended that you review the reading list using the View list as a student option. This will ensure that notes, tags, links, and uploaded files are displayed correctly.

  1. To view your reading list as a student, go to the List Menu via the ellipsis located to the right of the reading list title, then select View list as a student.
