Course Reserves: Access course reserves

The DePaul University Library has migrated its course reserves system from ARES to Leganto. Use this guide to set up your course reserves.

Access Course Reserves

Access the new course reserves system through your D2L course site.

  1. Select Edit Course from the D2L course navigation bar.   

  2. Select Course Reserves from the drop down menu.*

  3. Your course reserves list(s) will open in a new window.

* If you don't have Course Reserves as an option, email ctl@depaul.edu to have it added or log into Leganto directly.

Where should I start?

To begin preparing your course reserves, follow these steps.

1. Add the course reserves module to D2L

2. Create a list

  • You can create a list from scratch or duplicate an existing list.

3. Add items to your list

  • You can add both library resources and external resources, such as print books, e-books, articles, streaming video, websites (YouTube videos, etc), and upload files.
  • You can also request digitization of books and media items.
  • The library will purchase books and videos added to your list that we do not already own when we’re able to.

4. Publish your list

  • Publish your list to make it available to the library for processing and to the students in the course.
