Document search results

The document search results page in Scopus allows you to review and further refine the results of your search.

  • Start by reviewing the total number of documents found [1]
  • Search within your results page by entering additional keywords in the Refine search [2] box
  • Add Filters [3] to focus in on specific types of documents. The number next to each filter option indicates how many documents from your search fall into that category.
  • Get a bird's-eye-view, visual representation of your results using the Analyze results [4] button
  • Export [5] your search results directly into a citation manage management tool or a spreadsheet for further analysis

Analyze results

The Analyze results button lets you explore your search results visually. You can generate charts that display:

  • Documents by year
  • Documents by source
  • Documents per year by source
  • Documents by type (book, article, conference paper, etc.)
  • Documents by author
  • Documents by affiliation
  • Documents by country/territory
  • Documents by subject area
  • Documents by funding sponsor

These charts are interactive: by clicking into them, you can see a list of results matching your search criteria that fit into each category.
