National Alliance to End Homelessness
The State of Homelessness in America charts progress in ending homelessness in the United States. Using the most recently available national data, it is intended to serve as a reference for policymakers, journalists, advocates, and the public on trends in homelessness, homeless assistance, and at-risk populations at the national and state levels.
Due to the importance of having accurate global data and standardized definitions to drive progress toward ending homelessness, the Institute of Global Homelessness (IGH) team developed the Global Homeless Data Map. The map has been updated to include the latest data, infographics, and expanded visualizations. IGH recognizes that good data that is actionable and accessible to key stakeholders should be prioritized over perfect data. The map aims to highlight gaps in data collection and where and how countries can align definitions and methodologies and improve data to strengthen policy and programs to prevent and end homelessness.
The OECD's Affordable Housing Database has data on homelessness and housing exclusion, statistical definitions, data collection approaches, and selected information on strategies and national legislation related to homelessness data collection.
