The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) consolidated into the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). In 2016 CAEP accreditation standards were fully implemented; NCATE and TEAC legacy standards are no longer used for accreditation.
