A Note from Your Librarian

Hi class,

My name is Sveta and I'll be your librarian for PSC 350: Japanese Politics. I'll be providing feedback on your annotated bibliographies and helping you with your research. If you have any questions or need help finding sources, don't hesitate to send me an email or schedule an appointment for a research consultation.

This guide is meant to be a starting point for finding quality sources for your assignment. It is by no means exhaustive, but it but it will help get you oriented to all of the information out there. Use the navigation tabs to find what you need.

  • Find Articles: Recommended article databases by subject, select Japanese studies journals, plus information on how to tell if a source is scholarly.
  • Find Books: Tools for searching for books and e-books, plus a few selected titles related to the class material.
  • Find Gov Docs, News, & Data: Find newspaper articles, data and statistics, and government information from Japan.
  • Find Background Info & More: Find background sources, primary sources, and more.

Good luck with your research!
