DOTS Training: Library Resources for Teaching Online: Research Help and Library Instruction

DePaul librarians have created research guides for many subject areas. In addition, many basic library skills guides ("how to guides") are available. Topics covered include how to find scholarly articles, finding book reviews, citation styles, and more.

We'll create an online research guide with resources tailored specifically to a course and/or assignment.

Video tutorials support the teaching of research skills and concepts and demonstrate how to find materials using the DePaul Library. Embed or link to any of the materials in your D2L course page.

Encourage your students to use the Ask A Librarian service to get research help from a DePaul librarian.

A library liaison provides special assistance to faculty, staff, and students in an academic unit. If you have questions about library resources and services, need help with designing a research assignment, would like to request library instruction for your students, or want to suggest materials for purchase, please contact the liaison assigned to your area.

Librarians and archivists partner with faculty to develop course-specific instruction using rare books, archives, maps, and other unique items. We will continue to support your learning objectives in an online teaching and learning environment.
