Publications are currently imported from Scopus automatically during a weekly sync process.
However, users have the option to include additional online resources such as PubMed and Mendeley.
To receive notifications from these publications, users must enable them in their profile:
If you prefer not to turn on automated searches for the online resources, or wish to access a database which currently does not feature automated searches (such as Ebsco), there is the option to create a single search. This will provide results for a search parameter at the time of the search, but will not send notifications when new content is added. Users may select the publications they wish to import.
Depending on the information you will search with, here are some import sources we recommend:
To search with the name of an author or creator, try Digital Commons, EBSCOHost, SSRN, or Mendeley.
To search with a DOI, try CrossRef or unpaywall.
To search with an arXic or PubMed ID, try arXiv or PubMed.
Once a list of publications to import has been generated, you can Import or Remove items from the list. If something is a duplicate, we recommend removing it.
After clicking Import, your name will appear in the "Author" field. If the co-authors have a profile in DePaul Scholars, the new publication will show up on their profile as well.
"Managed by Organization" automatically defaults to the user’s organization in DePaul Scholars. Select Import and review.
At this step, you may edit publication type and bibliographic information. To change the publication type, choose Change template.
Once the workflow status of a publication is set to validated you can no longer delete the record yourself. You can however unclaim an item, using the disclaim function in Pure:
The registration of conference contributions in DePaul Scholars is distributed across different content types and templates.
Use the schema below to find the correct entry:
You are able to do this, but unfortunately not without listing yourself as an author. Please reach out to us if you are interested in adding this.
Posting a PDF of a work depends on if you own the copyright of the work you would like to post. You can make materials available for download if you do, or point to your research posted in outside journals and databases.
Sherpa Romeo is a free database containing the copyright and self-archiving policies of more than 22,000 journals and periodicals.
If there is a scholarly work or achievement that is not listed in the +Add Content menu, please select Research Output > Other Contribution.
We are happy to explore the option of adding other categories. Please reach out to Kelly Hallisy, Scholarly Communications Librarian, if this is of interest to you.
