1. Group Study Rooms
If you need space to work with your classmates or colleagues on a project, there are 5 group study rooms located throughout the Loop Library.
Current students, faculty, and staff can make a reservation online to use these rooms.
Just a heads up, group study rooms are meant for groups of three or more.
Study rooms are equipped with display screens and white boards to enable collaboration.
2. Solo Booths
Need a quiet space to work, study, or hold virtual meetings? Reserve a sound-insulated Solo Booth!
Unlike study rooms, these booths are intended for a single user.
3. Collaboration Area
Work with your classmates and colleagues at the group tables in the Collaboration Area.
Feel free to talk at a moderate volume in the Collaboration Area or find a quiet independent study area elsewhere on the floor.
4. Quiet Study Area
Tables and carrels for quiet study are available throughout the library, especially along the south and west windows.
While you're here, take a look outside: we've got a spectacular view of the Loop and the neighboring Harold Washington Library, part of the Chicago Public Library system.
5. Instruction Room
Librarians teach students the research and information literacy skills they need to succeed at DePaul and beyond. If you come to the Loop library for a library instruction class, you will meet in room 10028.
If you're a faculty member interested in library instruction, you can learn more about our program on our Instructional Services page or contact your liaison directly to discuss options!
The Loop Library instruction room is set up to support a hybrid or flex teaching and learning environment.
