Unless you know that you have a specific constraint--e.g., you can only use scholarly journals-- it's usually best to start your search WITHOUT limits and refine as needed.
Useful Limits:
Scholarly Journals | Limit results to items published in scholarly journals |
Date | Limit to current years if required by an assignment or your topic requires up-to-date info. |
Language | Limit to English, unless you are fluent in other languages. |
The full text limit limits you to articles available in that database. Even though a database may only give you a citation, the full text of the article is often available through one of our other databases. So, there's no need to limit to full text!
