University Library

What is Special Collections and Archives?

Our department holds books, documents, and other items that are either very old, fragile, rare, or important to DePaul's history.  Many of these resources are irreplaceable, so our policies and procedures are different from the rest of the DePaul Library.

This how-to-guide is designed to help you find and use the unique resources in Special Collections and Archives!

Where are we located?

We are on the third floor of the John T. Richardson Library, 2350 N. Kenmore Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, 60614.

Researchers use our materials in the Special Collections and Archives reading room.
