Titles on Bloomberg Law

Bloomberg Law, a database created in 2009 combining legal and business materials, requires a separate password similar Westlaw & Lexis +.

  • Bloomberg Law is growing rapidly and, in particular, it is filling the void when it comes to more extensive business resources (which may not be included Westlaw or Lexis +).
  • Bloomberg Law has several customizable dashboards worth exploring: Business Intelligence Center (accessible via the Business drop-down at the top-center) and Business Development (accessible via My Dashboards within the Home drop-down in the top-left).

For a more extensive listing of titles, specifically from secondary sources:

  • Sign in to Bloomberg Law
    • Select Bloomberg Law from Enterprise Products after initial log in
    • From the top drop-down on the right select Secondary Sources select Browse Books & Treatises from the drop-down
    • Scroll down to identify a topic of interest (e.g., Banking & Finance, Commerical Transactions, Corporate LawSecurities, etc.)
    • Click on link of a specific sub-topic (e.g., Keys to Banking Law within the Banking & Finance topic)
    • Formulate a Search OR click on a specific Chapter
    • Alternatively, look to most relevant Practice Center (e.g., Banking & Finance), located towards the top-left, between Home and Litigation drop-downs.

Bloomberg also publishes newsletters or reports on various topics, which can be emailed to the mailing list that is established for that alert for your account. This means that you can set up alerts/reports/newsletters for yourself or for other people in your organization.
