Titles and Resources on Westlaw

West Publishing largely created the structure of legal bibliography that researchers continue to use to navigate the law to this day. Westlaw, its online database of the law, is now one of the two main platforms for legal research. Aside from its comprehensive body of primary authority, Westlaw also includes the most important legal subject treatises that help students and researchers understand any given area of the law.

Access to Westlaw is limited to students, faculty, and staff of the College of Law.

Medicare and Medicaid Guide
CCH's definitive continuing title on the two national health programs. The Westlaw copy cannot be browsed, so the reader will need to search for the needed material.
Health Law Practice Guide
A broad treatise geared toward practitioners representing health providers and institutions. Does not contain a large amount of citations to primary authority.
Health Care Financial Transactions Manual
Guide for attorneys doing business transactional law in the health care sector. A practice-oriented book.
Health Care & Antitrust Law
Comprehensive treatise on antitrust law as applied to the health care sector. Contains extensive citations to primary authority.
Guide to Medical Privacy and HIPAA
Compliance manual on HIPAA and other privacy laws for administrators, compliance officers, and attorneys.
