Andrea Büttner was born in Stuggart, Germany in 1972. She received a MA in Fine Art at the University of the Arts in Berlin, Germany, a MA in Art History and Philosophy at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany and a PhD from the Royal College of Art in London, England. Büttner has had solo exhibitions at Musée Régional d’Art Contemporain at Sérignan, France, Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Germany and National Museum Cardiff, Wales and group exhibitions at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, She currently lives and works in London, England and Frankfurt Germany.
Jeni Spota C. was born in New York City in 1982. She received her Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago in 2007. Solo exhibitions were held at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, Santa Monica Museum of Art and Brennan & Griffin in New York. Group exhibitions include Rhona Hoffman Gallery, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Illinois and the Las Vegas Art Museum. She lives and works in New York.
Dan Ramirez was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. He received his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Chicago in 1977. Ramirez has had solo exhibitions at the National Museum of Mexican Art, Zolla/Lieberman Gallery, MOCRA and Klein Art Works among others.
Kehinde Wiley was born in 1977 in Los Angeles, California. He received a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco, California and a MFA from Yale University, School of Art, New Haven, Connecticut. He has had solo exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum, Modern Art Museum of Forth Worth and the Portland Art Museum and group shows at the National Portrait Gallery, Los Angeles Museum of Art and the Museo Nacional de Arte. Wiley resides in New York and Beijing.
Nate Young was born in 1981. He received a BA in Visual Arts Education at Northwestern College, Saint Paul, Minnesota and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, California. Young has had solo exhibitions at moniquemeloche in Chicago, Illinois, the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has been included in group exhibitions at the Studio Museum in Harlem, the Richard Gray Gallery in Chicago and the California African American Museum in Los Angeles. Young currently resides in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Rodrigo Lara Zendejas was born in Mexico. He received a BFA from Universidad de Guanajuato, Mexico, and a MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Lara's work has been shown extensively in Mexico, the US, Canada, Europe and China. He has had solo exhibitions at the Hyde Park Art Center, National Museum of Mexican Art and Mana Contemporary 613 among others. Currently he lives and works in Chicago, IL.
