Staying Current

Staying current on any given subject can be difficult considering the infinite sources of information. That being said, here are a few sources which I recommend you explore if you are seeking to stay current on criminal law.

Academic Law Journal

Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology - This is a recognized publication from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. If you are looking to see what some current topics are being discussed in criminal law, then looking at the table of contents of this journal could help.

Westlaw Today

Westlaw Today - This publication is similar to that of a newspaper and focuses exclusively on white collar crimes when it comes to criminal law. I recommend this source as it is published daily, contains objectively written articles, and you can browse it.

Law360

Law360 - This is also a great resource as it contains breaking news in more than 40 practice area, including criminal law.

Chicago Tribune

Chicago Tribune - As a law student at the DePaul College of Law, you also have access to the many databases the larger DePaul University community has. As such, the Chicago Tribune is a local newspaper that will publish articles on current crimes that have taken place locally and nationally.

New York Times

New York Times - The New York Times is a nationally recognized news organization that constantly publishes breaking news, which includes criminal law.
